Unknown gunmen killed one person and Abducted about 20 persons who were traveling to Toto local government Area of Nasarawa state.
Eyewitness account has it that the incident occurred at about 1.50pm on Tuesday along the mungi sharp corner, Buga Gwari,Gadabuke Development Area of Toto local government Area of the state. Our correspondent gathered that the 20 abducted victims, who were traveling in three vehicles were said to have been intercepted by the unknown gunmen. Secretary Gadabuke Emirate council, Abdullahi Baba who confirmed the incident said the unknown gunmen came out from the bush, intercepted the vehicles plying the road and kidnapped some passengers. Police public Relations Officers (PPRO) Nasarawa state police command,Ramhan Nansel confirmed the incident however stated that no passenger was abducted.”Around 13.50 pm hours, we received information that a vehicle was abandoned at Buga Gwari,in Gadabuke, Toto local government Area, we sent our men to the scene and recovered a rover Salon car with registration number NTT 265AA and two mobile phones were discovered inside the vehicle, but the whereabout of the occupants were not known. ” Somebody has recognized the vehicle that it belongs to his brother who left Nasarawa for Gadabuke this morning, so the vehicle was kept in the police station.” The PPRO also said the state police commissioner,Mr Bola Longe has directed the DPO, Toto local government Area to mobilise his personel to start combing the bush.
