The federal government has disbursed the sum of over N52 million to 2,600 women in five local government Areas of Nasarawa state. Minister of humanitarian services and disaster management, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Faruk who stated this on Wednesday during the disbursement at Aliyu Akwe Banquet hall Government house Lafia also said the aim is to cushion the effects of Covid19 in the state also urged women to make very good of the money in running their day to day businesses. The Minister who was represented at the occasion by the Minister of state, federal ministry of science and technology, Barrister Muhammad Abdullahi said the first phase of the disbursement include five local government Areas of the state which includes Lafia,Karu , Nasarawa,kokona and Doma local government Areas. He reiterated the commitment of the federal government in ensuring that Nigerians are taken out of poverty. The Minister called for support and cooperation of all to enable the federal government under president Muhammadu Buhari succeed in alliaviating the suffering faced by Nigerians.
