The official report reaching our desk says about 30,000 residents of Nasarawa State have enrolled in the state health insurance scheme.
The Executive Secretary , Nasarawa state health insurance Agency.Dr. Gaza Dogara Gwamna who disclosed this at a workshop for journalists in the state on Thursday, also said the Agency is doing all it could to ensure that more people are enrolled.
The executive secretary used the opportunity to call on the people of the state to take advantage of the programme to avail them for registration which according to him,.
“would go a long way in tackling health related matters in the state. Also Speaking, state commissioner for health, pharmacist Ahmed Baba yahaya while commenting Governor Abdullahi Sule for the initiative also said the state government under Governor Abdullahi Sule would continue to give health sector special consideration. He used the occasion to appeal to the people of the state to support the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead. Dogo Danladi shammah urged journalists in the state to always report objectively the events in the state to enable the people know the policies and programme of the Government.
