I RESPECT WIDOWS – Mrs. Jerry

Widows have been urged to look unto God for all their needs.

The MD/ CEO Amazing Foundation, Mrs. Abigail Jerry John stated this during the Widows day celebration at the Christian Reform Church for Nigeria, CR-CN. Kofai, ATC, Jalingo.

“When I was ejected by my landlord for lack of payment of rent, it was a widow that assisted me with space to put my things.

“All my things were thrown out of the house, but with her help, I was I was able to pack up my things into her house.

“Infact, I have great respect for Widows.

“I promise to continue assisting Widows within my limited resources.

According to her, the foundation have so far assisted over Eight thousand Widows, adding that she see the Joy and happiness in them.

“I am not tired of helping them.

She used the forum to call on all Spirited Individuals, Organizations, NGOs and Foundations to come to the aid of Widows no matter how small.

In his Sermon, the Guest Speaker, Pst. Jerry John took his text from the book of 2 Corinthians 3:3 spoke on the topic: The Church, Christ letter to the world, said that anyone be in Christ is a new creation.

According to him, the Bible is a new report card giving to all Christians.

“God has given me and you a new report card.

“The intake of the word of God is the power of God.

“You should live by the word of God, for our God is a consuming fire.

He quoted scriptures such as
Gal.6:11, Col.2:14, I Corth.5:17, Is 53:1, John 10:32, Job 6:63, Ps 107:20, Mathew 8:8, Lk10 : 42, Malachi 3:6, Heb. 12:29, Psalms 119:30 amongst others.

He pointed out that all scriptures are inspired by God, profitable for teaching and correction.

“When you receive the word, it gives you power to over come sin.

In his remarks, the Resident Pastor, Rev. Isiah Magaji Jirapiye thanked the Foundation for visiting the Church and having concerned on the Plied of the windows.

He charge the congregation and all Spirited Individuals and Organizations to emulate them by sharing the little they have with widows.

“Both Christianity and Islam preaches on helping the less privilege in the society.

On the 2nd wave of COVID 19 pandemic, he advised the congregation to abide strictly by the rules and regulations of COVID 19 pandemic so as to reduce the spread of the virus.

Rev. Magaji Jirapiye who is also the state Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN said that CAN at the National level have passed the order on COVID 19 pandemic rules.

“Lack of using face mask in churches today shows that greater work of sensitization have to be carried out on the dangers of the pandemic – he said.

The occasion featured the presentation of palliatives to widows of the church.
