2023: Garba Pwul, Sets To Quit The Bar, Eyes Plateau Government House

A multinational tittle holder of Plateau state, the Makaman Kanam, the Turakin Mangu and the Sardaunan Mwaghavul, Chief Garba Pwul, SAN has finally opened up on his desire to go into the governorship race in Plateau state in the forth coming elections.

The renown Lawyer and the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN told Judicial Correspondents on Tuesday that the descision to go into the race was borne out of the calls from well meaning Plateau People and his well wishers who believe in his idealogies to come out and rescue the state.

The legal luminary who did not disclose the platform for which he shall pick his ticket, says having favoured by the zoning arrangements, he has heed to the calls, and will soon role out his template for the state, hinting that, he is very much aware of the challenges the state is begging for attention.

According to him, if elected as the governor of Plateau state he will use his wealth of experience to redesign the state and bring it back to the lost glory as the ‘Home of Peace and Tourism’, and make it the most peaceful states in the country.

Adding that, ” I will consolidate on the achievements of governor Dariye and governor Jang, starting from 1999, and and build it to the later.

“I will pay particular attention to the development of agriculture sector, because, this State is endowed with good weather, and there is no crop that does not grow here”.

Adding that, educational sector and Judicial arm of government will be given top priority.

“As an experienced person, I will make sure that we return education back to its rightful place, and when these are done, other good things will follow.

“On the Judiciary, as an arm of government, we will ensure that they are independent, and the welfare of judges is improved so that they will carry out their responsibilities with out any interference, by so doing, citizens will expect nothing, but justice”.

WHO IS GARBA PWUL?

Barr. Pwul Was called to Bar in 1982 and became the 1st SAN from plateau state in 2011. Established his office in 1984. Hails from Mangu LGA of Plateau state. Married to a lawyer and has 4 children all of them lawyers.
