EASTER: CHRISTIANS URGED TO IMBIBE THE SPIRIT OF NEIGHBOURLINESS

Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman has felicitated with Christians in the area on the occasion of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, urging them to emulate his virtues of humility, faithfulness, perseverance and compassion.

The Chairman in his Easter message urged Christians to continue to imbibe the spirit of brotherliness noting that Easter is a period of fresh beginning, forgiveness, love and friendship.

Usman reminded the people of Jos North Local Government that the events leading to the death and resurection of Jesus Christ were epochal in the annals of Christianity and humanity.

He added that “as Christians, this period offers you an opportunity to rethink our relationship as individuals, as communities and as a nation.

Usman who noted that with COVID 19 pandemic threatening to bring the entire world to its knees, said that the occasion of the resurrection of Jesus Christ should be a veritable avenue for all to show more love, kindness and care for one another.

The Chairman used the occasion of Easter to appreciate the good people of Jos North Local Government Area for their steadfastness, resilience and cooperation with his administration since his assumption of office. He assured them of his administration’s commitment to good governance and people-orieted Programmes.
