Suspented gunmen at the early hours of Saturday killed nine persons, while several others sustained various degree of injuries in Ajimaka village of Doma local government Area of Nasarawa state. According to an eyewitness account, the suspected bandits who are to be Fulani herdsmen attacked Ajimaka village at early hours of Saturday came in their hundreds with war song Killing nine persons, leaving several others with injuries
Our correspondent further gathered that the suspected bandits also took away with them property worth millions of Naira with them during the attack.

Confirming the incident, president, Tiv Development Association ( TIDA) Nasarawa state chapter, Comrade Peter Ahemba wondered why despite the efforts put in place by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state and his Benue state counterpart, Samuel Ortom most especially at border towns of the two state,yet, Fulani herdsmen attacked Tiv people unaverted.

He called on the security agents to ensure the security of lives and property of the people especially those at the border towns in order to avert future reoccurrence of the urgly situation
Comrade Ahemba therefore appealed to the Tiv people to be calm and avoid taking the law into their hands,as according to him, ” Government and security agents would do everything possible ensure the protection Of lives and property of its people.”
