SURPRISES; As Late Reps Member, Maitala Empowers 400 Constituents

Haruna Maitala empowers constituents.Haruna Ibrahim Maitala, who held the title of ‘Turakin Jere’ was a former member representing Jos North/ Bassa federal constituency in the National Assembly.According to organisers, it does not matter wether the Lawmaker is late or not, they will continue to pursue his party manifestos, and as far as the party structure where he contested still exists, his ideologies will not be let to die.The Beneficiaries told rrporters that they were full of joy and excitements with the late Lawmaker for recognising them by giving them facilities to enable them start something on their own.They expressed surprise that even after his demise , the lawmaker, and his family members, took upon themselves to fulfil his promises with the constituents.Speaking on behalf of the family members, Ibrahim Maitala, says the empowerment which is under Lawmaker’s Legacy programme is a continuous one, and urged those who benefited to optimally untilize the items given to them so as to better their lives, and at the same time urged those who are not favoured to keep faith that they would certainly benefit in the subsequent arrangements.He said the Lawmaker, until his untimely death touched lives of his constituents in many ways;, including, sponsorship of WAEC and JAMB fees for many students whom he said have since been gotten admission.He reiterates that, the Lawmaker had in no small measures assisted many youths in securing job opportunities at various levels of government as well as in the area of road construction, and the procurement and distribution of fertilizers and the mpowerem of the constituents with other incentives to better their daily living.Adding that, no fewer than four hundred, (400) persons beneficiaries are to enjoy the current gesture, and that items earmarked for distribution include motorcycles, sewing machines, grinding engines and generators.While two Hilux vans were also presented to the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN and the Neighborhood Watch to strengthen their operations in assisting other security agencies in the maintenance of peace within the constituents.He narrated that, ” the late law maker was determined to uplifting the living standard of his people, thus has been able to do wonderfully well within the shortest time he was in the House of Representatives, and we wouldn’t allow that spirit to die”.Speaking with Journalists, beneficiaries of the gesture, Esther Joseph from Jingre in Bassa local government and Mustapha from Jos North eulogies the efforts of late Maitala in empowering his people, and it is a challenge to other politicians, especially those eying the seat to tighten their belts, because, Maital has left an oversized shoe, pointing out that, “since the return of Democratic dispensation, this is the first time we, the people of Bassa/ Jos North are benefitting from an intervention like this. So whoever wants to occupy his seat,must be ready to do the needful”
