Insecurity: Many killed, several houses destroyed, Others displaced in fresh attack by unknown gunmen, Federal government deployed troops to rid bandits along Nasarawa, Benue borders.

Many people were said to have been killed by unknown gunmen along Nasarawa/ Benue borders, While others lost their lives, with property worth millions of Naira were destroyed. When our correspondent visited border towns o Rukubi,Agirma, Adadu,Agbashi, and other border towns n Doma local government Area of Nasarawa state as well as Yelwata, kalashe,kadarko, Kwara, kuduku, Giza and other border towns in keana local government Area of Nasarawa state, people were seen leaving their houses for fear of the unknown. It was also gathered that alot of people were killed as a result of the crises that engulfed the Area. Farmers were seen deserting their farmlands following the crises in their various settlements,a situation which if not properly handled, would result of food scarcity in the state. President Tiv Development Association ( TIDA) Nasarawa state, Comrade Peter Ahemba in a statement made available to journalists in letter urged security agents to be up and doing in ensuring that the situation is put under control. Ahemba further appealed to the state Governor , Engineer Abdullahi Sule as well as president Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency address the security challenges facing the state and the country. Our correspondent further explained that prices of food items have already escalated following the crises that engulfed Nasarawa south senatorial district. A mudu of rice which was sold for #300 few months ago, now costs #500, a mudu of maize which costs for #150, now costs#350, in that order. Meanwhile, the federal government has deployed troops to border towns in the state to curtail the crises that engulfed the southern zone of the state. Our correspondent gathered that troops sent to the border towns of kadarko, Giza, Keana are doing their best to ensure that normalcy returned to the crises ridden areas of the state so as to enable Farmers return to their farms. Security meetings have been going on between Farmers and herdsmen in Lafia government house to ensure that normalcy finally return to the areas.
