20,000 Youths in Toto To Benefit From Nasarawa State Government’s Flour Mills Industry

Nasarawa state government says it would empower over 20,000 youths in the newly established Toto Flour Mills to tackle poverty facing the people in the state.

The Governor who stated this Tuesday during a 2- day workshop organized by the Nasarawa state Community Development Agency ( NSCDA) at the Ministry of local government , Community Development and chieftaincy Affairs also said about 20,000 hectres was acquired for the programme.

Governor Sule who was represented at the occasion by his deputy, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe further reiterated government’s commitments on the empowerment of women and youths in the state.” We are going to lay emphasis on the way to get people especially women and youths out of poverty”. He noted with pleasure that the Nasarawa state Community Development Agency ( NSCDA) has been in existence before the advent of Covid19, and that in the past one week, the state have been getting negative for Covid19 in the state,a situation which he commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his giant strides in tackling the menace in the state, hence the need for all hands must be on deck to ensure a total eradication of the the disease in the state. The Governor also reminded the people of the state to continue to observe Covid19 protocols at all times in order to reduce if not total eradication of the pandemic in the state. He therefore,challenged the participants to take the workshop very seriously so that they can learn more during the lectures. Speaking earlier, General Manager, Nasarawa state Community Development Agency ( NSCDA) Ahmad Saidu Esha commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for being in the forefront in ensuring the success of Nigeria Covid19 Action Recovery Economic stimulants (NG- CARES) in the country. Esha further said the projects under NSCDA include education, Heath Care delivery,water amongst Others and called on the participating communities to collaborate with the Agency in order to benefit more from the programme.
