NAWE President visits Plateau, tasks women on building strong entrepreneurship spirit for national growth, development

The Nigerian Association of Women Entrepreneurs (NAWE) on Thursday visited Plateau and tasked women in building strong entrepreneurship spirit for national growth and development.Ndanusa, who was taking round by Mrs Linda Shehu-Pukat led Executive Council of Plateau State Chapter, inspected some businesses firms owned by some members of the association in the state.”NAWE vision and mission is not only to encourage the women folks into participating in entrepreneurial activities that will stimulate and boost the nation’s economy toward attaining the desired growth and development, but to strongly assist in transforming the home front at raising Godly children.”The purpose of my visit to Plateau is to ginger you as entrepreneurs, not to relent irrespective of the myriad of challenges occasioned with business, but firmly resolve to do your best to put the nation on the right path of development, ” she said.The president said that NAWE was out to synergies with the Federal and State Governments towards opening up opportunities for women to show case their God given talents in administration, business and politics at all levels.On the increasing crime rate in the country, the President described as “very saddened” and “unfortunate” the moral decadence being witness in the global World society.Ndanusa advised that the youths of today, who are our future leaders, needed to be taught good morals and the fear of God so that Justice and righteousness shall be the foundation of their leadership prowess for a better Nigeria.According to her, Nigeria is currently battling with various forms of indiscipline and criminality from some youths, which calls for a rethink at the home front in order to check mate and eradicate such ills for a verile, progressive and peaceful society.Earlier in her welcome address, NAWE’s State Director, Shehu-Pukat, welcomed the President and her entourage to Plateau and expressed the state chapter’s readiness to work with her to succeed.”On behalf of NAWE, Plateau State Chapter, we are congratulating you, our National President, Barrister Vera Ndanusa, and your executive officers and all the new NAWE Executive members on the forth coming inauguration slated for June 28 -30 in Abuja.”While we also wish to appreciate all the people that have been working hard to ensure that NAWE succeeds in Plateau and Nigeria as a whole, we are so encouraged and strengthened by your visit aa we pledged to keep the flag of the association flying in the state,” she stated.Shehu-Pukat said that the membership of the association was building up by the day, “as some members, who had left before, are returning back along side new ones joining simple because of the leadership qualities you (President) have started displaying since assuming the leadership position of NAWE in April.”
