Disturbed by the current security situation in keana local guy Area of Nasarawa state, Critical Stakeholders, Fulani herdsmen and the critical stakeholders in keana local government as well as security agencies are expected to meet in order to tackle the current insecurity in the area. A member representing keana constituency in the Nasarawa state house of Assembly, Hon. Muhammad Adamu Omadefu who disclosed this in a chat with journalists in his office also said Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state is making some concerted efforts to ensure that the people of Keana local government Area and Nasarawa state sleeps with their eyes closed. The state lawmaker who represents Keana local government as a. constituency appealed to fulani herdsmen to shelve their swords on the recent attack on their cattle by Air Force helicopter as government would do everything possible to ensure that the ugly incident does not happened again.” Keana as a local government is a flash point as far as anti- grazing law is concerned, any fulani herdsman that was sent away from Benue state as a result of anti – grazing law,he will move to keana local government for safety,”. He therefore appealed to both fulani herdsmen and farmers to continue to live in peace with one another in the best interest of development of the area. On the number of bills so far passed by the state house of Assembly, hon. Omadefu who is the chairman house committee on Information said,” so far 44 bills are at various stages of passage, 15 of them have been passed into law, out of which 13 are executive bills, while 2 are private bills.and today,we have passed another 3 bills. The state lawmaker further commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his rapid transformation in the state and appealed to the people of the state to join hands with him to enable him succeed on the tasks ahead.
