Nasarawa state Commissioner for health, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya has urged participants on work plan development workshop of 2021/2022 to show dedication and commitments to bring out good workable development plan that is smart, reliable and cost effective to check the narrative of maternal mortality rate, under five mortality under five mortality rate and infant mortality rate and infant mortality rate to the barest minimal in the state. The commissioner who disclosed this while declaring open the harmonised 5- day work plan development workshop of 2021/2022 also gave the charge on the workshop by saving one million lives programme for results ( SOMLP4R) at kini country home, Akwanga yesterday urged the participants to brace upto the challenges as well as to come up with strategies that will help to improve the quality of health care service delivery to the people.The Commissioner commended Governor Abdullahi A Sule led Administration for massive investment in the health sector that change the narrative of the health system, While assuring that the APC Administration for its readiness to implement the 2021/2022 work plan that will strengthen the system and enhence effective quality health care service delivery. The objectives of the workshop amongst others are to update the capacity of the participants and other stakeholders on saving one million lives programme for red activities in the state. Also to review SOML,2019/2020 work plan to develop and cost a draft of soml.2021 for each of the intervention sopported by SOML plus M& E framework that will monitor the implementation of the work plan and crosscutting in her presentation.
