The chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN) and Jama’atul Nasril Islam ( JNI) Nasarawa state chapter have condemned in strong term the recent attack on innocent travellers in Jos, the plateau state capital.
Im a joint press conference addressed by the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria ( CAN) Bishop Joseph Masin and Imam Muhammad Ali, Secretary general, Jama’atul Nasril Islam ( JNI) which was read by Imam Muhammad Ali on behalf of the two religion bodies said both religion bodies preaches peace and both will continue to live in peacefully with one another in the state. ” We condemned the incident of the killings of innocent travellers that took place in jos in its entirety” “The two religious bodies appreciates government’s proactive response towards the immediate evacuation of Nasarawa state students who were stranded in Jos as a result of the crises”, they said. They therefore encouraged citiezens of Nasarawa state to go about their lawful business without fear of molestation or harassment in any form.
