Nasarawa state chapter of All progressive Congress ( APC) has said that the party is set for the next Saturday’s local government Congress in the state. The state Acting chairman of the party, Dr John D. W. Mamman who stated this in a chat with selected journalists in his office also said the stakeholders of the party in the state have adopted concensus during the Congress, but in a situation where aspirants refused to accept concensus,then they can go for election. He commended the teaming APC supporters in the state for their support during the last local government party’s primaries, for chairmanship and councilorship and urged them to maintain the tempo in the best interest of the party and the state. While thanking governor Abdullahi Sule for allowing level playing field during the exercise, the APC chairman further commended him the good job he is doing in the state most especially in the area of peace, rural transformation as well as in the area of rapid development of the state. On his ambition to contest the next chairmanship of the party in the state, Dr Mamman said” The people are at liberty to know whether or not I should be the next APC chairman of the state. ” I was appointed as Acting chairman of the party, without my knowledge, so,if they wants me to be the chairman, let’s be it”. On the secret of his leadership style since he assumed the mantle of leadership he said,” I met the scenario of good leadership of Governor Abdullahi Sule, and am building on it.”. He therefore called on the people of the state to continue to support APC and the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable us succeed on the tasks ahead. The APC state chairman also called on the APC supporters in the state to take advantage of the on-going on- line registration of the party in order to register to enable them vote during the general elections.
