Cash Donations: Nasarawa Deputy Governor Decries Receiving Commissions From Less Previlege.

Nasarawa state deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe has decried the collection of Commissions from the beneficiaries and urged them to avoid that or face the full wrath of the law. The state deputy Governor, Dr Emmanuel Akabe who disclosed this on Sunday during the disbursement of N10,000 to each of the beneficiaries in Obi local government area of the state also called on the beneficiaries to avoid giving money to anybody who may claimed that he assisted them to get the money. He said such people should not be given anything because the beneficiaries were carefully selected amongst the vulnerable people in the society. Dr Akabe further explained that the gesture was part of his modest contributions to the vulnerable people in order to boost their economic well-being so as to live a better life like any other person in the society. The state deputy Governor used the occasion to call on the people of the state to continue to support the Administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule which according to him,is aimed at alleviating the suffering of the people of the state. He said the gesture would be extended to all the local government in the state in order to make the vulnerable in the society to have a sense of belonging. Also Speaking, Executive chairman, Nasarawa state Universal Basic Education Board ( NSUBEB) Alhaji Muhammad Musa Dan’ Azumi while commending the state deputy for a job well done also called on the beneficiaries to make very good of the money in order to better their lives. Dan’ Azumi further asured the people of the state that Governor Abdullahi Sule would ensure that the people of the state enjoys the dividends of democracy, ” All we need from you is your support and cooperation to enable the governor succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.”. On his part,a one time senator, Nasarawa south senatorial district, Senator Salihu Egyegbola while commending Dr Akabe for the gesture also assured that the beneficiaries would make very good use of the money given to them to boost their businesses. On her part, former Commissioner for housing and Urban Development, Hajiya Saadatu Yahaya told the beneficiaries that she would personally followed their houses to ensure that they made very good use of the money. Hajiya Saadatu further assured the state deputy Governor that the beneficiaries would recprocate the good gesture of the government by ensuring that they voted for the APC at all levels during elections. Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of cash of N10,000 to each of the 100 beneficiaries from obi local government Area of the state.
