Gov. Sule Declares Wednesday October 6th Public holiday. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

Nasarawa state Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule has declared Wednesday October 6th as public holiday in the state. According to a press statement signed by the secretary to the state government, Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu, the public holiday is to enable civil servants and the people of the state to participate fully in the October 6th local government election in the state. While wishing the people the best in the election, the governor assured the people of the state of free, fair and credit election. The statement further urged the people of the state to come out en masse to enable them to exercise their franchise. He called on the people of the state to abide by the rules of the game before, during and after the election, and not the do anything that may break the existing peace in the state. Governor Abdullahi Sule used the opportunity to call on the security agencies in the state to be up and doing in maintaining peace before, during and after the election. Meanwhile, the ruling party in the state,All Progressives Congress ( APC) has called on the people of the state to come out en masse to vote on the forthcoming local government election in the state. In a press statement signed by the Acting chairman of the party in the state, Dr John D. W. Mamman urged its supporters to come out and vote the party during the next Wednesday local government election in the state. According the the state,” the achievements recorded in the last two years of governor Sule led- administration is enough to take the party to a landslide victory in the election. He assured that his party would give every necessary support to the Nasarawa state Independent electoral Commission (NASIEC) to ensure free, fair and credible election in the state.
