The local government polls held in all the 13 local government in Nasarawa state on Wednesday was full of irregularities, election malpractices, ballot papers snatching amongst other things. Our Correspondent who monitored the election in must of the local government Areas of the state reports that while some polling units received their election materials around 12 pm, others received theirs around 2 pm. In some areas, eligible voters were seen queueing in the line waiting for the arrival of electoral materials which were nowhere to be found and were left with no other option than to leave to their various houses,. When the presiding officers and other officials came many people left the venue as according to them,” people were telling us that there will be no election, and when they came they wrote what they wanted,” said an aggrieved voter who doesn’t want his name on print. Meanwhile, elections were conducted peaceful without any rancour in keana and it environs,as people were seen casting their votes. Speaking to our correspondent, a voter, Prince Mark Elayo commended the electorates in Keana local government for conducting themselves before, during and after the election. Mark Elayo who holds the traditional title of Turakin Keana attributed the success of the election to the impressive performances of governor Abdullahi Sule in the past two in the state and assured the people of keana local government and the state that Governor Sule would do more to the people and urged them to continue to support the governor succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.
