The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship aspirant for Plateau State chapter in the coming State Congress, Comrade Philip Asanato Adik, popular known as Adalci , has promised to work hard to reenergize the party towards promoting unity within its fold and lead it to victory in subsequent elections at all levels, if elected into office as chairman come 16th October 2021.
The Former Chairman of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) Plateau State Chapter, explained that the people were already looking for an alternative to further push the party to greater heights.
The APC has scheduled to hold its State Congress on October 16, while the Ward Local Government Congresses were held on September 25 and October 5, 2021 respectively.
Philip Asanato Adik, who was an aspirant for the Plateau State House of Assembly Jos-North west on three (different) occasions and a one time Aspirant for the PDP State Chairmanship made this promise while speaking to our man in Jos on his plans for the party. The erudite politician noted that the ruling APC had performed credibly well in the last couple of years in Plateau under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong and urged the people cast their votes for the party in the forthcoming Council Polls in the State.
He expressed confidence that if given the mandate, he would bring his wealth of experience on board to promote internal democracy within the party.
According to the party chieftain, “I joined the race for APC Chairmanship in Plateau state because I’m one of the most qualified person for the job and I would attract members of the opposition to join our party”
Comrade Adik further promised to create a robust synergy and good working relationship with party stakeholders at all levels for maximum benefits.
“If given the mandate , l will work hard to promote party unity. I will relate closely with party stakeholders at all levels”.
According to Comrade Adik,“My primary mission will be to re-energise the party towards positioning it in strategic manner for the 2023 general elections”.
He added that he intended to achieve all these by invigorating the party through regular activities such as seminars and conferences, adding that these events would take place in different Local Government Areas of the State to ensure the participation of members at all levels.
Speaking further, Adik lamented the inability of the party to own its own secretariat and promised to set up a billion naira Building Fund for the purpose of building a State Secretariat for the party.
