Unknown gunmen attacked the Nasarawa state local government service Commission ( NLGSC) and carted away some undisclosed sum of money, four television sets and attempted to take away two mikano generators supply both the local government service Commission and the state civil service Commission. According to our findings, the situation occurred at the early hours of Monday, when they came to the commission beat-up the security men on duties and ransacked everywhere where they took the items and some undisclosed sum of money. It was also gathered According to our source that the gunmen might have heard about the withdrawal of some undisclosed sum of money to pay casual workers and other esisgencies of the commission, the money was said to be kept at the commission’s safe where they destroyed it and carted away the money. When our correspondent visited the state local government service Commission on Monday morning, the chairman of the commission, barrister Muhammad Sani Bawa was not around for his comments, but a source at the commission hinted that the chairman has directed the Director of finance and Accounts,head of maintenance section and other affected Staff to ascertain the level of damages pending the commencement of the investigation. Meanwhile, symphathisers have been tropping the commission to symphathise with the chairman, Members and the staff of the commission over the incident.as the security men on guard at the time of the incident are currently assisting the security agencies with useful information.
