The Nasarawa state chairman of All Progressives Congress ( APC) Dr. John D.W. Mamman has said that the direct primary elections adopted by the members of the national Assembly for all political parties in the country is a welcome development. Dr Mamman who made this known in a chat with journalists in his office also said the direct primary election would test the popularity of candidates who may wish to contest election at any level in the country. “Charity begins at home,” if you want to test your popularity in your ward,if you are popular people will vote for you, but if you are not popular, nobody will vote for you.”. On the landslide victory his party ( APC) got during the last week local government election, Dr John D.W. Mamman attributed the victory to the leadership qualities of Governor Abdullahi Sule for his good leadership in governing the state, “We at the party level followed the leadership qualities of our governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule,” You should not also forget that we work very hard,by going all nooks and crannies of the state to ensure victory, and as God had it,we were successful during the election,we shall continue that way to ensure total victory in 2023 general election.”. He commended the people of the state especially members of the ruling APC for their support solidarity and show of love before, during and after the election, and urged them to maintain the tempo in the best interest of the state.
