The Nasarawa state house of Assembly has passed#5.98 billion 2021 supplementary Budget into law. Speaker of the house,Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who announced the passage of the bill into law after hon. Umar Tanko Tunga ( House leader) moved a motion to that effect during the house proceedings in Lafia also commended members for their commitments in ensuring the speedy passage of the bill into law. He said the supplementary bill if assented to is to ensure the completion of the on- going projects in the state. * The total size of the Supplementary Budget stand at#5.,975,076,811,.86 only with a recurrent expenditure of #3,620,618,735,.86 only, While, capital expenditure is #2,354,456,077 only. ” A biil for a law to issue out of the consolidated revenue fund of the state ( supplementary Appropriation bill) of the sum of#5,975,076,812,.86 and a virement ( Re- Allocations adjustment of#2,690,023,000 only for the services of Nasarawa state government is read for the third time and passed.”. The speaker of the house,Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has directed the clerk to produce a clean copy of the bill for governor’s assent. It would be recalled that Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state on December,31,2020 signed the state#115.7 billion 2021 budget into law.
