Plateau Community Leaders Laud Gen. Ali Over Peace Initiatives.

Traditional Leaders of Irrigwe, Berom, Fulani, Hausa, Bache, Dong, Gyel and Anaguta ethnic nationalities in Bassa, Jos North and South Local Government Areas of Plateau state have showered accolades on the General Officer Commanding the 3rd Amoured Division,  and Commander Operations Safe Haven, (STF), Major General Ibrahim Salau Ali over his doggedness posture in returning peace on the plateau.
The community leaders made these commendations weekend, when a 36 Man Committee set up by the GOC, to work out modalities to ensuring lasting peace in the three local government councils and environs were at the STF headquarters to summit her report.
It will recall that, the Commander Operation SAFE HAVE Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali on 11 September 2021 inaugurated a 36 Man Committee with representatives from Irigwe, Fulani, Hausa, Bache, Dong, Gyel and Anaguta ethnicities in Bassa, Jos North and South Local Government Area.
Submitting the report in the presence of Permanent secretary security, heads of security agencies, local government chairmen, traditional rulers and clergy as well as youth and women leaders are expected to grace the ceremony the committee said the assignment was a tidious one but had had to use every necessary mechanisms to reach the targeted objectives.
In there seoereate remarks, the Brragwe and Chairman Bassa Traditional Council, Rt Rev Ronku Aka, the Da Gwom Rwei of Jos South, Da Dr Nga Dangyang and Ardo Wada Waziri of Miyango lauded OPSH for its sincere effort to bringing peace to the state. 
They described the setting up of the committee as a landmark achievement with lasting impact on the people. They  pledged the support of the Traditional Council in assisting OPSH to implement the recommendations contained in the report.
Speaking earlier, the Committee Chairman, Prince Robert Ashi, remarked that the Committee consulted extensively and received support from critical stakeholders in targeted communities. 
He revealed that the Committee also took into account the multi-faceted issues challenging peaceful co-existence resulting in the underdevelopment of the communities. He appealed to all the stakeholders to support the Commander OPSH to fully implement the report for the benefit of mankind. 

Also speaking, the representative of the Director General Peace Building Agency Plateau State, Mr Gayi Timothy Gayi described the Committee as all-encompassing with representatives from all the tribal groups. He called on the people of Plateau state to give peace a chance, embrace and forgive one another. He added that peaceful co-existence enhances  development.
The event was attended by senior military officers, heads of  para-military Agencies in Plateau state, traditional rulers and Chairmen of Bassa, Jos North and Jos South Local Government Councils.
