Security, Developmental Projects Will Be My legislative Focus, Hon. Abbey.

The aspirant seeking election to represent Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency, in the house of representatives, Hon.Joseph Abbey Aku says his desire to contest for the National Assembly position is to attract developmental projects to the Constituency.

He said Jos North/Bassa requires a quality representation at the house of representatives, particularly, now that the Constituency is bedeviled with Security challenges.

Briefing Journalists on his intentions and other issues, Hon.Abbey, says, “I shall collaborate with the Plateau state Peace agency and other peace building Non Governmental Organization (NGOs) such as Humanitarian Dialogue to entrench peaceful coexistence among the people of my Constituency”.

Hon. Abbey who is currently the Commissioner for Commerce and industry in Plateau state stressed that jos North/Bassa Constituency under his watch, shall vigorously lobby for projects to the Constituency.

He promised to use his connection as the former senior legislative Aide in the National Assembly armed with the dynamics.

He challenged people to judge him as reformist, promising he will initiate bills that if passed will impact positively on the people of the Constituency and we by extension Plateau state,

He however appealed to the other aspirants contesting for the Bye-election and other election to shun campaign of Calumny aimed at smearing the reputation of Political opponents which is capable of sowning the seed of hatred and bitterness.

He particularly frawned at the recent publication made by an anonymous person with a bide to create mischief.

“I wouldn’t have not joined issues over a write up by a faceless person since in democracy , freedom of expression is encouraged.

He however described the write-up as the handy work of mischief makers who are spreading falsehood that his candidature is endorsed by religious body.

Those who know me closely can attest to the fact that I am man of the people owning to my background as well cultured man.ln my years of Political sojourn, I have not received an endorsement by any person or group to succeed”.

“My manifesto has always been my selling point and have always believe in team work irrespective of ethnic or religious affiliation.”I have made it clear that my interest in the House of Representatives is because it’s more vibrant of the two chambers”

Hon.Abbey however debunked the rumour making around that he is Government candidate.

“I am not government candidate contrary to the rumour making around that I am having the backing of the powers that be”.“My quest to contest for the position is to serve my people and bring developmental projects which had hitherto been lack in the Constituency
