The Tiv community in Doma local government Area of Nasarawa state has thrown its weight behind the Administration of Hon. Ahmed Usman Sarki , executive chairman of the local government.
The Interim chairman , Tiv elites forum Doma local government Area, Reverend Father Godwin Aondona Apesuu stated this when he led Tiv community of Doma on a congratulatory/ solidarity visit to the chairman, Doma local government Council, Arc.Ahmed Sarki Usman.
He also assured council boss of their unalloyed support and cooperation to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.
Reverend Father Apesuu further said the Tiv community in Doma local government has observed the utterances of the chairman during his electioneering campaign on peace amongst the people of Doma where he assured that there will be peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse ethnic groups in Doma local government Area, urged him to put what he said into practice for peace, Progress and the overall development of the area.

He reminded the chairman of his promise of giving village heads in places like Ategher, Uluwa, Gborgyo and Tugudu who have no substantive village heads following the death of the former ones several years ago.
The clergyman further observed that they have become victims of constant eviction from their ancestral homes where men, women and even children were murdered in cold blood, their homes razed down, and property looted” these development are sadly changing our status from proud indigenes with landed property to humiliated tenants in our father land.”
He pointed out some of their sons who held political positions at a given time to include Hon. Michael Shiwen Koko,Hon. Samuel Ndyar, Hon Sunday Gborgyo, Hon Evaristus ortyev and Hon. David churugh amongst others.
He therefore called for the inclusion of their sons and daughters into political positions in Doma local government to enable them have a sense of belongings as according to him, since the advent of CPC and later APC , they have not gotten any political position in Doma local government despite their numerical strength with 29 polling units across Agbashi,Doka,Rukubi, and Madaki wards.
The Tiv leader further lamented the unfortunate incident in their villages where government facilities like primary health care and primary school in Ategher,jiragh Uluwa,zever,Damba,Ajimimaka,ugengese, Gborgyo,Ikper amongst others were destroyed.
While congratulating the chairman for his well deserved victory at the polls, they assured him of their unalloyed support and cooperation to enable him succeed in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Doma local government Area.
