The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven has made clarifications with regards to the heavy security presence at the gate of the Langtang North Local Government Council Secretariat;
Statement from Mr Dogo Nanzing on behalf of the Executive Chairman , Langtang North Local Government Council, says the executive chairman Thursday afternoon got an intelligence report of a plot by certain individuals to cause mayhem in the locality.
“Acting on this report , the Executive Chairman made calls to security heads including the new commissioner of police Mr Bartholomew Onyeka who immediately dispatched a unit of heavily armed police officers to the secretariat to prevent a breakdown of law and order.
“Hon. Ubandoma and staff of the local government have since resumed work in their offices.
“The chairman also reiterates his commitment to securing the life & properties of citizens within the locality and is reassuring the people to go about their lawful activities without fear of any intimidation.
