Nasarawa State Government To Organise Job Fair To 100Entrepreneurship Trainees. By Abdullahi Shuaibu,laf

Nasarawa State government has expressed it readiness to organize a job fair for 100 youths in the state.

Deputy Governor of Nasarawa state, Dr Emma A. Akabe who disclosed this to journalists in Lafia also said the 100 youths are currently being trained on entrepreneurship and employability skills.

The state deputy Governor who expressed confidence that the participants after completing the training would attract employables in their scheduled job fair on November 18th and that,they will be able to start business of their own and be employers of labour. ” The job fair is where we are going to bring the employers and employees together. we are hoping and praying that some of them will be able to grab jobs of their own.”.

He commended the state’s human capital development office, Oxfam Nigeria.and poise graduate, Academy for the successful training of 100 youths on employability and entrepreneurship skills.

Dr Akabe adjudged the training exercise as being successful based on the interactions he had with the participants who were drawn from across the 13 local government Areas of the state. “From my interactions with the organizers and participants,I think we’re getting it right. From what I was told, they were being trained on various skills,, the participants are also determined and committed to improving their knowledge, from my interactions with them,I am satisfied,”

Speaking earlier, Senior Special Assistant ( SSA) to the governor on Human Capital Development, Habiba Balarabe Suleiman said the training has been successful because organizers had been able to impact 21st century skills on the participants aimed at making them employable and self-reliant.
