The All Progressives Congress, APC Plateau State Chapter says it has stumbled on a message trending in the social media over it’s position on the pending bye election in Jos North / Bassa Federal Constituency.
The party stateed that at the state level, it has not yet discussed anything pertaining to the Bassa/ Jos North seat which was officially declared vacant only on Monday 8th November, 2021.
The party in a statement signed by Hon. Sylvanus Namang, the APC State Publicity Secretary therefore disclaims and distances itself from the purported warning of aspirants.
“As a party which believes in due process, it would play its role in accordance with laid down procedures at the appropriate time.
“The party is hereby warning individuals and groups to desist from speaking or issuing statements on its behalf.
“We want to assure all aspirants that the party is going to create a level playing field to enable the best to emerge as the party’s flag bearer”.
