I Will Leave Doma Local Government Better Than I Met It. . . . Doma L.G. Boss.

Doma local government Council chairman in Nasarawa state, Hon. Ahmed Usman Sarki has said that he would leave Doma local government Council better than he met it.

Sarki who made the call in an interview with journalists in his office in Doma on Monday also said his Administration’s policy would be inline with the policy of the state governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state.

He said he wants Doma local government to be economically viable so that the local government should not rely on only monthly federal allocations, but the revenue Source that would help in developing Doma local government to be one of the best developed local governments in not only the state, but the country at large.

The Doma local government chairman who commended governor Abdullahi Sule for the rapid Development in the state as well as the maintenance of peace and security said ” With the coming on board of governor Abdullahi Sule as governor of Nasarawa state,he ensures that the people of the state lives not only peacefully with one another, but also People now sleeps with their two eyes closed as well as our neighbors in other states of the federation.”.

Sarki further explained that when he came on board as chairman,Doma local government Council, he met over 7,000 Staff who are oweing two months salary arrears, he was able to pay the salary, and is doing all he could to ensure the payments of salary arrears and pensions owed by the local government penioners.

On the revenue generation of the local government,Sarki said,”When I came on board,Doma local government was realising #6,000 weekly as revenue,I was able to raise it to #50,000 weekly. and in the near future,am targeting#1 million monthly as my set target.” he said.

While commending Olams farm Rukubi for providing job opportunities to the people of the area, he also commended them for opening up rural roads in the area to ease movements of people and their farm produce.

On the welfare of staff of the local government, the Doma local government chairman said, he met a dilapidated structures in Doma local government and now he is trying to fix them in order to provide good working environment for Staff of the local government for optimum performance.

He therefore called on the people of Doma local government to join hands with him to ensure the success of his Administration which is aimed at providing the dividends of democracy to them.
