Nasarawa Deputy Gov.Rounds- Up Distribution Of #10,000 To 100 Vulnerable Women With Keana LGA. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

Nasarawa State deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe has rounded up his distribution of #10,000 to vulnerable women of the five local government Area in the southern senatorial district of the state with Keana local government Area.

Speaking at the distribution of the money in keana local government Area on Wednesday, Dr Akabe called on the women to make very good use of the money to enable them tackled some of the challenges confronting them in their various houses.

The state deputy Governor further explained that the distribution of the money to 10 women in each Ward of the local government is aimed at boosting their economic activities, hence those vulnerable women were carefully chosen amongst those women that engages in petty trading.

He therefore appealed to those who are yet to benefit to engage in petty trading rather than depending on their husbands for everything they needs.

Also Speaking, chairman keana local government Council,Hon. Sanusi Abdul Giza while commending the State deputy Governor for his kind gesture, also said the good gesture of the governor would go along way in alleviating the suffering faced by the people of the area.

While calling on them to make very good use of the money, the keana Council chairman appealed to them to reciprocate the good gesture of the government by not only living in peace with one another, but also by supporting the policies and programmes of the state government.

Those who spoke at the occasion have all commended the good gesture of the state deputy Governor,Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe whom they said is the first in the history of democracy in the area.

The occasion was attended by the prominent sons and daughters of keana local government Area including the Turakin Keana,prince Mark Elayo, Magajin Garin Giza and chairman, Nasarawa state Civil service Commission ( CSC) Alhaji Musa Dangana Giza, Executive chairmen of Keana Doma, Obi, Awe and Lafia local government Areas as well as overseers of Giza, Ekye, and Azara Development Areas amongst others.
