The Speaker, Nasarawa state house of Assembly,Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has assured that the house would do all within its power to ensure the speedy passage of 2022 budget before the end of this month.
Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who made the disclosure when inspecting the on- going 2022 budget defence of various standing committees with ministries, Departments, Agencies,( MDAs) and parastatals at the Assembly complex Lafia Tuesday also said the early passage of the 2022 budget would be in the best interest of the state.
” I have been going round because,I have a target, my target is to ensure that I pass the 2022 budget before the end of this year.”
He said the 2022 budget is very key and important to the people of the state which is why I was going up and down to deliver on the mandates.”
” The lives of our people Dr on the budget, government cannot be able to do anything without following the budget’s provisions, so,on the part of the house,we have responsibity for our people and for our state.”
I” I have made my position very clear during my speech at the budget presentation last week, that I want cooperation between the house and MDAs so that we should be able to pass the budget at a good time,.”
” IAM pleased to inform you that at the course of my going round,, I discovered that most of my committees are working and attending to MDAs to ensure we passed the budget at a very good time, for the benefit of our state and our people.”
It would be recalled that last week governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has presented a budget of over 109.8 billion to the state house of Assembly as 2022 Appropriation , While the speaker,Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi assured the governor the quick passage of the budget to enable the governor continue with his good work to the people of the state.
