The All Progressives Congress ( APC) Nasarawa state chapter, has rejoiced with Christian faithfuls in the state in the celebration of Christmas.
State chairman of the party,Dr John D.W.Mamman in a statement in Lafia also condemned in strong term the recent crises between farmers and herders in the southern senatorial zone of the state.
While commending Christian and Muslims for peaceful co- existence in the state, Dr Mamman called for tolerance, respect, peace and harmony amongst the diverse ethnic nationalities in the state for the best benefit of not only the state, but also the country.
Dr John D.W. Mamman urged Christian faithfuls in the state to use the lessons of Christmas in their day to day dealings with people of other religions for peace and tranquility of the state and the country at large.
While wishing Christian in the state a merry Christmas and a prosperous new year, the state APC chairman also reminded everyone in the state on the need to maintain peace and be security concious and to report any suspected person ( s) to the law enforcement agencies for appropriate action.
He therefore commended the state Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, his deputy ,Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, the speaker Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Members of the state Assembly, Traditional rulers and the entire people of the state for the peace and harmony we are enjoying in the state and urged them to maintain the tempo.
