Akwanga Local Government Chairman,Hon. Emmanuel Joseph Laweh Is Dead. – – – Gov. Sule Condoles The Family. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

The Chairman Akwanga Local government Council, Hon. Emmanuel Joseph Laweh is dead. Hon. Laweh who was elected into office three months ago was last Monday slumped in his office in Akwanga and was rushed to a private hospital in Abuja where he gave up the ghost on Thursday afternoon.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state was amongst the early callers at the deceased residence in Akwanga Friday, where he described the death of the late Akwanga local government Chairman, Hon.Emmanuel Joseph Laweh as shock and a colossal loss not only to the Mada nation, the people of Akwanga local government Area, but Nasarawa State and the country at large.

Governor Abdullahi Sule used the occasion to console the immediate family of the Chairman, the people of Akwanga, the APC family and the state and the country at large.

He said the three months out of the three years tenure of the late Chairman was historic as he did his best to ensure that he gave the people of Akwanga local government the dividends of democracy.

The governor further recalled the contributions made by the late Chairman of Akwanga local government,Hon. Emmanuel Joseph Laweh to the development of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) not only in Akwanga local government, Nasarawa State and Nigeria as a whole.

He therefore appealed to the people of Akwanga local government especially the youth which he described as the vanguard of progress and development in the state to maintain peace,law and order and not to do anything that would breach the existing peace in the state.
