Jos North Council Boss commends Councillor For Impacting Citizens With Skills.

The Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council Shehu Bala Usman has tasked Ward Councilors to initiate programmes geared towards empowering Youths and Women in their different Wards.

The Chairman stated this at the closing ceremony of a three Week empowerment programme organized and sponsored by the Deputy leader and Councilor representing Garba Daho Ward Auwalu Babaladan as part of effort to mark his one hundred days in office.
The event held at Jama’atu Nasril Islam, JNI office,Jos

The three Week empowerment programmes had over three Hundred Women of Garba Daho Ward, who were trained and acquired various skills ranging from Baking, snack and , soaps making, beverage Pomade, and Tailoring, among others.

The Chairman commended the initiative of the Councilor for ensuring women in the area acquired skills to make them self reliant.

Plateau State focal Person social investment programme Dr Sumayya Hamza noted the initiative is aimed at complimenting the efforts of both the Federal and State Governments.

Former Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Peter Azi and leader Jos North Local Government Council Legislative Arm, Yakubu Atsen called on his colleagues to emulate the virtue of Babaladan in bringing succor to the doorsteps of his constituents.

Guest Speaker at the event Comrade Steve Aluko who spoke “Democracy and Development of the people at the grassroots” noted that democracy is about inclusion and empowering the people at the grassroots.

The beneficiaries of the Auwalu Babaladan skills acquisition programme appreciated him for Impacted skills on them and assured of their commitment to practice what they have acquired to make a living.
Hon Auwalu Babaladan appreciated the people of Garba Daho Ward for giving him their mandate and pledged that he would not let them down.

There were good will messages from the Deputy Chief of Staff Government House, General Administration Salihu Idris kwando, Executive Secretary Muslim Pilgrim Board Auwalu Abdullahi, among others.

The occasion climaxed with the presentation of over One Hundred School Uniforms to pupils as well as footballs to various clubs.
