Nasarawa state Deputy governor,Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe has expressed his disappointment with the organizers of disbursement of #10,000 to ten women in all the eleven electoral wards of Akwanga local government Area of the state.
The state deputy Governor,Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe who was visibly angry with the organizers of the event in Akwanga at the weekend also accused them for selecting their wives, relatives and girlfriends against widows and the less Previledged women in the society.
Dr Akabe therefore announced that since the mistakes have been done, he selected another set of fifty widows which were given #5,000 each, #100,000 for those women present, but their names were not capture and another #100,000 to the youths who were there during the occasion.
While urging the organizers not to repeat the same mistakes again, also said he will not condone such mistakes in the future.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the disbursement of the funds, state deputy Governor,Dr Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe said the gesture which was his modest contributions to the less Previledged women and widows urged them to make very good of the money to promote their businesses and to also feed their family.
Dr Akabe used the occasion to call on them to always support the policies and programmes of the present administration under Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.
He also appealed to them to always live in peace with one another in the best interest of the state and the country.
