Nasarawa Assembly To Create Additional Districts And Village Areas In The State. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

The Nasarawa State house of Assembly has moved to create additional Districts and Village Areas in the state.

Speaker of the house,Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who made the disclosure on the floor of the house shortly after Hon. Muhammad Ibrahim Alkali ( APC Lafia North) moved a motion to that effect which was seconded by Hon Usman Labaran Shafa representing Toto/ Gadabuike and vice Chairman, committee on local government a chieftaincy Affairs.

Hon.Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi slated first week of April,2022 for second reading as the bill Scales first reading when it was presented on the floor of the house on Monday February,14th 2022.

Earlier, Member representing Lafia North at the state house of Assembly,Hon Muhammad Ibrahim Alkali Who doubles as Chairman house committee on local government and chieftaincy Affairs, said the importance of traditional institutions to the peace and security of the state cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for members to support the bill in the interest of peace, harmony and the security of the state.

Meanwhile, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has presented the name of Mrs Mairo Musa as a permanent Member 2 in the state house of Assembly service Commission.

Speaker of the house,Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who made the disclosure on the floor of the house Monday also urged the nominee to submit 30 copies of her Curriculum Vitae (CV) on or before the end of Tuesday, February 15th 2022 and to appear for screening and possible confirmation on Wednesday 16th February,2022.
