Nasarawa State Government has acquired about 10,000 hectares of land to Cape Mano Investment Limited to cultivate sugar cane and refinery in Loko Development Area, Nasarawa local government of Nasarawa.
State Commissioner for lands, Survey and Urban development, Hon. Muhammad Tanimu Sarki who made the disclosure shortly after a meeting with critical stakeholders in Loko also urged on the community to give necessary support and cooperation to the government to ensure proper take- Off of the company.
The Commissioner who was represented at the occasion by the Director lands of the ministry, Malam Khalid Adamu also underscored the importance of the company if established, hence the need for the people of the area to join hands with the ministry to ensure the success of the project.
On their sperate remarks, the Overseer Loko Development Area, Shehu Umar Loko and the Oche Agatu all assured the government of their unalloyed support and cooperation ii order to ensure the success of the project in the area.
According to a press statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Titus Mangut said other critical stakeholders also attended the morning.
