President Buhari Inaugurates 330/132/33KV Power Sub — Station In Akurba, Lafia. By Abdullahi Shuaibu,laf

President Muhammadu Buhari has Inaugurated the 330/132/33 KV Akurba sub- station in Lafia local government of Nasarawa State on Thursday.

The Akurba power sub-station which was part of activities Marking his 2- day official working visit to the state had in attendance, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state, Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi state and the deputy Governor of Benue state.

Others are Minister of power, Abubakar Aliyu, Minister of Justice, Abubakar.Malami, Minister of science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnia Onu, Minister of state, Science and Technology, Barrister Muhammad Abdullahi. Members of the national and state Assemblies, amongst others.

President Buhari did not make speech during the occasion, which lasted for about 30 minutes, with thousands of people from far and near wanted to catch glimpse on Mr President, but were prevented by the overzealous security agents who were stationed at the venue.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the inauguration, Minister of power, Abubakar Aliyu said the Akurba power Sub- station which was started in 2017 was part of the federal government’s projects in Nasarawa state.

The Minister further explained that the project would go along way in improving the living standard of the people of Nasarawa State most especially the small scale business men .

He therefore called on the people of the state to make very good use opportunity by operating businesses that would improve their living conditions.
