Plateau state commissioner for information and communication, Hon Dan Manjang has congratulated Hon. Musa Agah of the opposition party, PDP firbemerging victorious in the just checking concluded bye-election for Jos North Bassa federal constituency.
He discribed his winning of the election as a very big fight APC has ever envisaged.
Dan Manjang who posted on his face book page shortly after tue result was declared by the INEC, expressed sadness over the political orientation process in the state.
” Sadly, our the political orientation process have always been the bane of reaching to our desired political development stage. The process has always been woven and driven around ethnic and religion consideration. The pre-election day statement for the Jos North/Bassa Federal House of Reps bye election in Plateau state by some of our religious clerics has proven that.
” Unfortunately for us, we are just who we are, and by extension who intentionally choose to be.
“Personally, and as a faithful card carrying member of the ruling APC in the state, I have no grudges on the opposition PDP winning this election. Because; Religion politics has been defeated and buried alive in Plateau state.
“Secondly, The PRP participated in the election with a sole aim, and that has been brutally defeated. To me, PDP’s victory is a victory for Plateau state. Because it is Plateau that won in the end.
“To my party of the ruling APC, it is now the right time for us to go back to the drawing board and make all the necessary amends. Should APC really want to retain Plateau comes 2023, I think we should do the needful by coming together to salvage this party before its too late.
“APC’s deafeat, and at the same time terribly coming 3rd position for the recent Jos North/Bassa Federal House of Reps bye Election in the hand of the opposition PDP has really send a bad signal and should teach us a very big lesson.
“Congratulation to Hon. Musa Agah Avia of the opposition PDP on winning this election and for giving us a very big fight”.
