Ahead of the 2023 general elections the Nigerian youths have been challenged to shun politics of lies and falsehood as well as avoid taking. money from politicians to mortgage their future for another 4 or 8 years.
These were views canvassed for by the like minds youths who were at creat hotel, Jos over the weekend during the official launch of we2geda north central zone.
Speaking during the occasion, the Chairman board of trustees, We2geda Ahl. Ibrahim Hussaini Abdulkarim during the north central said, the event is aimed at bringing out youths and technocrats who desired change for a better Nigeria.
He lamented over the backwardness the country has been subjected to, due to bad leadership, stressing that time to change the narrative is now. He however challenge the youths to come together as one and bring a better change for Nigeria and good and quality leadership.
He said the we2geda campaign project is to create awareness for all Nigerians who desire change for a better Nigeria, this can be achieved if good leaders who have a passion for a better and prosperous nation are elected to represent Nigeria at various positions of leadership.
“Our desire is to have a nation where every one will enjoy and their rights are protected and a Nigeria where peace and justice shall reign and Nigeria where there will be development and a Nigeria where the future is guaranteed for our next generation a Nigeria where all things work”
“The we2geda vision is to build a united Nigeria where every Nigeria is assured of good quality life irrespective of tribe and religion and political class, and the missions is to established a new united system of leadership where every leader or person aspiring for any political office such as president governors, senators, and house of representatives etc most have passion for doing what Nigerians want, not him to be promising what he has no passion for, but just because he need our votes he promised”.
Barr Stanley Akpa who in his remarks said the interest of we2geda is for like mind who want a change for better Nigeria and the time for such change is now we all should embrace the we2geda to achieve the desired change we all need for a better Nigeria.
In an interview, the chairman board of trustees Alh. Ibrahim Hussaini Abdulkarim said we2geda is aim at bringing like minds together to give Nigerians the best of leadership and if in every electoral wards have 250 members of we2geda Nigerians will produce the best of leaders not leaders that will take Nigerians for granted and create religious and tribal diversity in other to achieve their selfish aim, according to the chairman do to bad leadership Nigeria educational systems are in jeopardy and in a stage of total collapse as ASUU is on strike without head way, Nigeria produce crude oil and yet we still Queue to buy fuel and yet the government has not come out to tell Nigerians the reason for the scarcity, this is as a result of voting bad leaders and not voting for the right leadership that have the passion to change the narrative rather we vote those who come with empty promises and heve money to the electorate or buy their votes and when that is done you can’t challenge them when they get to office because they use their money to get their with the implication that you mortgage your future for a token, Alh. Ibrahim said Nigerians should wake up and do the right thing buy saying no to vote buying and we2geda is a platform that wants to bring the desire change all Nigerians want so he called on all Nigerian youths to come together and let us bring that Nigeria of our dreams a Nigeria where after graduating u have a car or a job waiting for you.
In his keynote speaker Comrade Lika Pampe has called on the youths to look up for a better Nigeria not to do politics of stomach infrastructure and not to fall in to the hands of bad politicians who don’t have the interest of one and better Nigeria.
According to him, “most politicians use money and religious and tribal sentiments to achieve their aims, and the common Nigerians on the street is always at the receiving end because of bad governance and voting base of religious and tribal lines and this has a very bad effect on our democracy and except we come out and change our mind set Nigeria will still remain backwards in terms of development and human capital development and the end result is religious crisis, poverty, bad educational system etc, and the we2geda platform if truly utilized will bring that desired change because it cut across very body and brings like minds together those who want a better Nigerian”.
The we2geda has as his goal to take Nigeria to the promise land and create awareness to all Nigerians mostly the youths not to allow selfish politicians to take advantage of them for their on ambition, but for them to check and scrutinized and know who they are voting for ask questions and do their own investigation on any aspirants and most of all shunned the politics of money of religious and tribal politics, but to think of what the person has to offer for Nigerians and how he intends to better the country not how to steal and loots and destroy the country, because the we2geda projects have a life span of 10 years and if very youths key in to it the days of electing bad leaders will soon be a thing if the past, as before you become a leader you most be well scrutinized.
