A group known as Democratic Vanguard for Good Governance has fingered the former speaker, and member representing Jos North North in the plateau state House of Assembly over the recent crisis that engulfed Jos North legislative Council which led to the removal of both the majority leader and Chief whip
The group’s Spokesman Abdullahi Inuwa Said the work of a legislator is to make laws and represent his people very well in the legislative chambers which he has failed to perform haven represented Jos North North North State Constituency at the state House of Assembly for close to 16 years yet no meaning legislative development has the Constituency witnessed rather Jos North North remains backward
According to him the history has seen and shown that the choice of majority leader is the choice of the party who decides and nominates as witnessed in the eight assembly when Henry yikwop was removed and replaced with Emmanuel Dakas from Mangu South
He said the drama in the council legislative chambers is not new as councillors are bound to agree and disagree but wondered why the 14 councillors will continue to mention the name of the lawmaker as thier major financier even to the extend of saying that soon actions will be taken in the council
Hon Inuwa through its group is calling to order the former speaker to face his legislative business at the state assembly and leave Jos North local government council alone
History not forget that allegation has been laid on the former speaker over Certificate forgery and involvement in the illegal removal of a genuine speaker by 8 lawamkers which is not healthy for a high ranking member
It urges the party to call the warring factions for the interest of peace and development of the party ahead of the 2023 general elections
