Gov. Sule Calls For Peaceful Coexistence Between Tiv And Other Tribes In Nasarawa. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called for peaceful coexistence between the Tiv Speaking people and other tribes living in the state.

The governor who made the call during the Tiv day celebration at Imon Village,Adudu Chiefdom, Obi local government Area of the state also Commended the Tiv Speaking people for the support they are giving to his administration and urged them to maintain the tempo.

Governor Abdullahi Sule who was represented at the occasion by the state Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Hon Muhammad Lawal Yakubu Fürther appealed to the people of the state to continue to support the policies and Programmes of his administration to enable him succeed on the tasks ahead.

Others who spoke at the occasion, includes the speaker, Nasarawa State house of Assembly, Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad1 among others , while Commending Tiv speaking people in the state for contributing in maintaining peace in the state also urged them to continue to live in peace with one another in the best interest of the state and the country.

Highlights of the event includes the launching of #500m appeal funds for the construction of Tiv Development Association ( TIDA) Secretariat as well as the conferment of traditional titles on prominent sons and daughters in the state.
