The Emir of Lafia and Chairman Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs,. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad1 ( JSC rted) has assured the Tiv Speaking people in the state for their Chiefdom.
The royal father who made the disclosure in Imon, Adudu Chiefdom,Obi local government Area of the state duro the 2022 Tiv day and the #500m Appeal launching at the weekend also said he would do everything within his power to ensure that the Tiv Speaking people in the state got their Chiefdom.
While calling on them to be law abiding, and maintain peace in their dormains, the royal father assured them of the support of royal fathers in the state at all times to enable them succeed on the tasks ahead.
Also Speaking, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa who Commended Tiv people for living peaceful with other ethnic nationalities in the state , also called on them to continue to maintain peace in their areas and support the policies and Programmes of his administration to enable him succeed on the tasks ahead.
The governor who was represented at the occasion by the state Commissioner for Information, Culture And Tourism, Hon Muhammad Lawal Yakubu Fürther assured of his administration’s commitment for the protection of lives and property of all people in the state.
Highlights of the occasion includes the conferments of traditional titles to sons and daughters of the state and beyond as well as the launching of #500m Appeal Funds for the building of Tiv Development Association ( TIDA) state Secretariat.
