Nasarawa West APC Primaries: Matawallen Toto A Dogged Fighter. By Abdullahi Shuaibu, Lafia.

The All Progressives Congress ( APC) general primary election in Nasarawa West senatorial district which was scheduled to take place in the senatorial convocation square of the Nasarawa State University Keffi cannot take place after all as the list of the delegates for the election was allegedly altered by the officials of the election who supposed to be the unbiased umpires.

According to an investigation conducted by our correspondent revealed that a leading senatorial Aspirant, ( the Matawallen Toto) Barrister Labaran Magaji who prepared for the primary election more than the electoral committee members appeared at the venue of the meeting, but the chairman and members of the electoral committee were nowhere to be found.

It was also gathered that the election was not conducted as scheduled because the delegates that supposed to participate in the election were in Lafia participating in in the re- scheduled house of Representatives election in Lafia, the state capital.

While the delegates from Nasarawa/ Toto federal constituency were participating in Lafia, the chairman electoral committee was busy in keffi with the list of fake delegates , when the Matawallen Toto went there personally to complain and the chairman of the electoral committee had no option than to stop the fake delegates from participating in the primary election.

The Matawallen Toto campaign organisation accused the Minister of Environment, Barrister Muhammad Abdullahi was accused from bringing thugs to the venue of primary election which he has since denied.

Meanwhile, the Nasarawa West senatorial district election has been re- scheduled to a day to be announced later, but whichever way , head or tail, Matawallen Toto, Barrister Labaran Magaji will take the day. Comrade Abdullahi Shuaibu writes this piece from Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
