The long awaited Nasarawa West Senatorial district APC primary election was held in keffi, the headquarters of the senatorial district amidst tight security on Saturday.
Announcing the results of the exercise which was held in keffi, returning officer of the election, Major General Ahmed Tijjani rted said Architect Shehu Tukur having got the highest votes cast is declared Winner of the election.
Major General Tijjani further explained that Architect Shehu Tukur got 179 votes, while Barrister Labaran Magaji got 114 votes, thereby declaring Architect Shehu Tukur as the winner of the election.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the declaration of the results, Barrister Labaran Magaji who congratulated the winner of the election, Architect Shehu Tukur also congratulated himself for the fight he gave in order to ensure that the right things are done.
Barrister Magaji also Commended delegates and members of the Press as well as the good people of Nasarawa West senatorial district for standing by his side throughout the period of the election also assured them that his participating in the election is a clear demonstration that no matter how long it would take, one day good things will surely come to their way.
It would be recalled that the Nasarawa West Senatorial district which was to be held along side other senatorial district could not hold because of the indiscriminate change of delegates list by the electoral umpires who supposed to be unbiased, but because of the directive from the above they became,a situation that made the election to be dragged upto Saturday 4th June,2022.
