Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state has urged electorates not to vote for local government chairman that doesn’t pay salaries.
The Governmor who made the call at the Nasarawa state University,keffi at the weekend when his supporters Baraya vanguard also appealed to them to always votes for people based on performance, not tribe, religion or ethnic affiliations. Governmor Sule who expressed his disappointment with local government chairmen in the state for not paying salaries despite receiving their allocations from the federation account also called on them to change their attitudes and be paying salaries to the local government staff as at when due. The Governmor also commended the organizers of the event and pledged to do more in the best interest of the state. Speaking earlier, senator re-presenting Nasarawa West senatorial district commended Governmor Abdullahi Sule for his performance since he assurmmed the mantle of leadership in the state about one and a half years ago.
