Nasarawa state Acting chairman of All Progressive Congress ( APC) Mr John W. Mamman has said that the party in the state is fully prepared for Ward and local government congresses scheduled for this month.
Mamman who disclosed this while answering questions from newsmen in his residence in Shabu, Lafia North Development Area also said the party in the state is only waiting for party’s times table and guide lines for them to conduct free, fair and credible elections that can usher in the new party executive at the wards, local governments and the state levels. He said APC as a family in the state has no any crack and would continue to remain solid to ensure they won all elections in the state. On the allegations that he will contest the next election as the state chairman of the party, Mamman said,” I don’t have any ambition of contesting the state chairman of my party,am just a Caretaker chairman and once my tenure expired, I will leave.”
On the contest between senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Umaru Tanko Al Makura, the Nasarawa state APC chairman said,” we are lobbying for the Nation chairmanship of our great party to zone to our state and anything our party chooses to do,we are loyal party members we are going to support it, but mind you, not only Nasarawa state that are contesting for the position in the North Central, Benue state too are contesting the position, when we reach the bridge,we will cross it”.
He said Governor Abdullahi Sule has achieved much in the past two years as Governor of the state, particularly in the areas of completing projects of the past Administrations and the new projects he embarked upon. He therefore called on the people of the state to continue to support his government to enable him succeed on the enormous tasks ahead.
