The State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress NLC, Taraba Chapter, Comrade Peter Jidiel has again been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Sunday 4th July, 2021.
A family member who confirmed the incident to our Correspondent say Peter was abducted in his residence in Sunkani, Ardo kola local government area of the state at about 12:30am.
According to his younger brother in a telephone conversation, Mr. Boniface Stephen said the abductors called the family informing them that Peter is having a fever but since then upto the time of filling this report no demands was placed by them.
“Yes they came around 12:30am today Sunday and picked my brother again and they called us later in the afternoon where they only told us that he is feeling feverish and just ended the call without making any demand but they promised to call back” Boniface Stephen revealed.
Our Correspondent recalled that Mr. Peter Jediel was for the first time kidnapped six months ago in his same residence and on the same day in the early hours of Sunday 7/2/2021 at about 12:58am.
When contacted for comment, Spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, Taraba State Command, DSP David Misal said he is already on transfer and nobody has been appointed.
