Fresh mayhem has befallen the Tiv communities in Nasarawa again. as suspecting Fulani marauders attack Chabo community in Obi LGA and Hagher in Lafia East.
Fresh facts emerges that, the casualty figures is on the increase following the mayhem that has befallen the Tiv communities in Nasarawa yesterday.
Report says no fewer than 36 are so far killed by the suspecting Fulani marauders who attack Chabo community in Obi LGA and Hagher in Lafia East and Daa a Jukun settlement who are under intense firing from the Fulani marauders.
As at Saturday, it was gathered that the attackers in their large number storms Chado village at about 11am of Saturday, killing over 7 people while others fled with gunshot injuries.
Eyewitneas has it that the shooting spread over to Hagher where one person was again gunned down.
Reasons for the attack, was sketchy, at the team of this report, but villagers said it might be unconnected to the bidy of a Fulani person that was found dead along Chabo road leading to another adjoining village.
Information reaching us indicates that the police had arrived scene hours after the villagers had fled, even as the Soldiers who were dispatched to the place were allegedly asked by the police to return, claiming they were on top of the situation, and that no one was killed.
The people however appeared so devastated and traumatized and are currently taking refuge in the nearby villages.
Mwanwhile, the communities are appointing fingers against the action if the DPO in Obi for the role he has played from the beginning of the attacks.

One of the villagers who spoke with our correspondent in a telephone conversation, posited thus; ” Why on earth would such a huge number of Tiv people be killed to avenge the death of one person?
” Why moving towards Ayaakeke for something that happened as far as Chabo in Obi?
He however appeals to the government of Engr A. A Sule to swiftly intervene to avoid the attack from resulting to a full scale crisis.
