The Emir of Lafia and chairman, Nasarawa state council of chiefs, Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad ( retd) has endorsed the candidature of Senator George Akume as APC national chairman.
Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad1 who made the disclosure when the campaign team of Senator George Akume led by Senator Tilley Gyado paid a courtesy- call on hm in his palace on Monday also said ” Se nator George Akume have what it takes to be the APC national chairman.
The Emir who went memory lane to remind the Akume campaign team that Benue and Nasarawa are one and that they would continue to be one. ” Whoever emerges as the national chairman of ApC between you and our son, the governor of Nasarawa state, Senator Tanko Al Makura, you join hands to work together as one, because you are all brothers,” he said.
Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad1 therefore assured the Senator George Akume of the support of state council of chiefs to enable him succeed on his determination to get the APC National chairmanship ticket.
Speaking earlier, leader of the delegation, Dr Tilley Gyado said they were in his palace to seek his blessings on their quest to clinch the APC chairmanship.
Senator Gyado further explained that Nasarawa state is their second home,as they were all in Benue/ Plateau before the separation of Benue, Plateau and later Nasarawa state.
Hé commended the Emir for maintaining peace in his dormain and urged him to maintain the tempo in the best interest of peace, Progress and rapid development.
